Good medical attention is a key quality-of-life issue for anyone with a disability. However, prenatal alcohol brain injuries have been clinically identified for less than a decade, and many medical practitioners are neither informed or educated in their diagnosis and treatment. Getting a formal diagnosis is important for self-acceptance, for community understanding and to qualify for appropriate government programs.


Even though obtaining appropriate medical attention may not be easy, concerned advocates for alcohol babies will persist until the right diagnostic setting is found.
